Review

By now you may be sitting every day for several minutes, noticing breath occasionally during the day, and doing body scan meditations. These are important foundational exercises to help prepare mind to look at itself - and free itself!

We have been just resting in the breath in our sitting meditation, repeatedly and gently returning to the breath when we find attention on some other object (thought, sensation, or sensory data).  We’ve also been doing the body scan, creating an experience of coming to the awareness of the insubstantiality of body.
